FMVA® as a Designation

Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA®) is a finance designation, hence, once you have earned the FMVA® certification, you may use the FMVA® marks as permitted below.

1. The FINANCIAL MODELING & VALUATION ANALYST (FMVA) and FMVA Marks may never be used generically in the noun form, as a verb, or in the possessive form.

2. The FINANCIAL MODELING & VALUATION ANALYST (FMVA) and FMVA Marks must appear as adjectives to modify the subject person or certification.

3. Certification holders are not permitted to use the FINANCIAL MODELING & VALUATION ANALYST (FMVA) and FMVA Marks as part of an email address, business name, or domain name.

Examples of correct usage:

✓   John Doe, FMVA

✓   John Doe, FMVA®

✓   Jane Doe, Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA)

✓   Jane Doe, Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA)®

✓   John Doe and Jane Doe are enrolled in the FMVA® certification program.

Examples of incorrect usage:

✘   John Doe is a Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst.

✘   John Doe is an FMVA®.

✘   john.doe.fmva@comcast.net

✘   johndoefmva.net
