We are required to collect sales tax for products and services purchased by our customers when applicable. Sales tax will be automatically applied to certain customers and jurisdictions.

Who Has to Pay Sales Tax on CFI Subscriptions? ^
CFI has a legal obligation to collect applicable taxes including VAT (Value Added Tax), GST (Goods & Services Tax), or other types of sales taxes, for purchases, which may vary depending on a student's local, state, and country jurisdiction. This article includes answers to frequently asked questions we receive regarding taxes for CFI purchases.
Customers who reside in regions that collect transaction taxes like VAT, GST, or other types of sales taxes may be required to pay a tax when they make a purchase on the CFI platform. Taxes are calculated based on a variety of factors such as account and billing information.
CFI reserves the right to change this policy to be in compliance with tax requirements at any time.
How to Preview How Much Sales Tax Will Apply to my Purchase? ^
The sales tax will be automatically listed on your checkout page when you add your billing information. It will show you the final price you will pay after tax.
After purchase, the receipt will list the amount of taxes paid and the total price of the product, including which type of tax and which subscription plan you purchased. Any discounts will also appear here.
Where Can I Find My Receipt After Purchase? ^
From your dashboard, go to Profile > Edit Profile > Billing. Scroll to the bottom and you will have an option to view your receipt.
From here, you will be able to download your receipt.
If you need any extra information on the receipt, perhaps for reimbursement, taxes, or official records, please email the customer support email ( [email protected]) with the information you need included on the receipt.
We will edit the information and send it back to you as per your request.
Is it Possible to Get a Receipt Without Sales Tax Included on it? ^
Due to legal obligations, we must show the tax amount on each receipt. We are not able to remove this information as we are a business to consumer website.
We cannot omit tax on anything but you can remit payment less the tax amount.
