If you are part of a tax-exempt organization, we are happy to work with you during the purchase process to ensure you are charged the correct amount.

Sales Tax Requirements

CFI is legally obligated to collect applicable taxes for purchases, including:
- VAT (Value Added Tax).
- GST (Goods & Services Tax).
- Various other taxes, based on where the student lives.
Customers who reside in regions that collect transaction taxes like VAT, GST, or other sales taxes may be required to pay a tax when purchasing a CFI subscription.

CFI reserves the right to update this policy to comply with tax requirements as needed.

Previewing Sales Tax Amount Pre-purchase

When you add your billing information, sales tax will be automatically listed on your checkout page.
Your receipt will display the price of your subscription, the amount of tax paid, any discounts applied, and the total purchase amount.
We are not able to remove tax details from your receipt.

Retrieving Your Receipt

Follow these steps to access your receipt post-purchase.

Log in to your dashboard.
Navigate to Profile > Edit Profile > Billing.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "view receipt." You may also download a copy of your receipt from this page.

To have additional information added to your receipt for reimbursement, tax, or official records, please contact us at [email protected]. Please include all the information you need in your modified receipt.

Tax Exemptions

If you are part of a tax-exempt organization, we are happy to work with you to ensure you are charged the correct amount for your CFI subscription. We can do this pre-purchase or provide you with a refund for any taxes incurred post-purchase.

Pre-purchase: Please email us your organization's tax exemption documents to [email protected] before purchasing to avoid paying sales tax. Once verified, we will send you an invoice to pay via credit card.
Post-purchase: After purchasing your CFI subscription, please email us your organization's tax exemption documents and your CFI receipt. Once verified, we will refund any tax paid during the checkout process.
