BIDA™ Certification Requirements ^
The Business Intelligence & Data Analyst (BIDA)™ program is an online global certification program that will show you how to use programming and data analytics tools like a finance professional.
It is open to anyone looking to become a world-class data analyst, regardless of industry or level of experience.
Please refer to the BIDA page under 'How it Works' to view the certification requirements.
We recommend that our students take prep courses covering fundamental statistics to succeed in this program. These courses are free and can be found here
The curriculum is quite quantitative as it works with multiple data sets, but everything is shown step-by-step and is straightforward to follow. Students can also rewatch videos multiple times and can review the course later on as needed.
All courses come with an online exam at the end (MCQs, fill-in-the-blanks, and Excel questions) that students need to complete. The exams can be repeated as many times as needed and can be taken at any time. A score of at least 80% is required to pass the assessment and earn the course credentials.
*Effective November 1st, 2023, the BIDA program requirements will be updated.
- We have expanded the required core courses from 14 to 16, introducing practical case studies and additional foundational topics.
- Electives are now optional. Hence, they are no longer a prerequisite for obtaining your BIDA certification.
- The BIDA Final Exam has been revised to include questions from the updated core curriculum.
For more details, please refer to our comprehensive guide on the program updates here.
After successfully completing the BIDA™ certification requirements, students will need to sign CFI's Honor Pledge to submit their program for certification. Once signed and submitted, the Blockchain-Verified BIDA™ certificate will be sent to the registered email address within 24 hours.
Please see here for ongoing BIDA program and requirement updates.
