FMVA® Certification Requirements
In order to complete the FMVA® program and earn the certification, students are required to complete at least 14* courses (11 core and 3 elective courses) and pass the FMVA® final exam.
All courses come with an online exam at the end (MCQ's, fill-in-the-blanks, and excel questions) that students need to complete. The exams can be repeated as many times as needed and can be taken anytime. A score of at least 80% is required to pass the assessment and earn the course credentials.
Students are also required to take the FMVA® final exam and earn at least 70% to pass and earn their certification. The final exam covers contents from the prep and core courses (elective courses not included) and is timed to be completed within 3 hours. There is one free attempt provided, with succeeding attempts subject to a USD50 retake fee, as well as a cool-down period of 30 days before challenging the exam again. Further information about the FMVA® final exam can be found here.
After successfully completing the FMVA® requirements* (11 core & 3 elective courses) and passing the FMVA® final exam, students need to sign CFI's Honor Pledge to submit their program for certification. Once signed and the program submitted, the Blockchain-Verified FMVA® certificate will be sent to the registered email address within 24 hours.
I took the course assessment more than once, what score will this record on my transcript?
We offer unlimited attempts on the course assessments and your transcript will show a PASS or a FAIL for your test score.
Where can I access the FMVA® final exam?
The FMVA® final exam, as well as the practice exam, will be available on your student dashboard once you have completed all the required courses.
Can I extend the 3 hours of the FMVA® final exam?
The final exam is timed for exactly 3 hours and there is no option to pause the timer once you have started.
Can I take more than 3 elective courses?
Yes, of course! You will be given access to all of the programs included in the program and you are free to take more than the required courses, if you wish, at no additional cost.
Duration and Mode of Delivery
All courses include video lectures delivered by professional Wall Street trainers, who have been teaching classes for new hires at global investment banks for over twenty years.
Lectures, study materials, and exams are all online, and are accessible from anywhere in the world, allowing the program to be completed at any time.
The recommended time to complete the program is 120-200 hours, but students are free to finish the program at their own pace.
Why is the total time of the video not equal to the noted number of course hours?
The hours included in the course description are the average study hours which include the time to watch the lectures, download files, complete the exercises & assessments, etc.
